Adidas Supernova Glide 4

For women feeling inspired by the success of Jess Ennis at the London Olympics and craving her effortless ability to look stylish whilst doing sport, the Adidas Supernova Glide 4 trainers are perfect. Fitness fanatics and serious runners would probably look for a more technical running shoe; a track runner would still want spikes and a triathlete would still prefer natural runners. This model is for the everyday woman: running round the park, running for the bus in the morning, going to the gym, walking the dog or training for a charity run; this trainer is an all-rounder.

The well padded interior makes it comfortable from first wear and the stylish exterior is a bonus. The air cushion on the back heel is good for heel-heavy runners and gives you the feeling of extra momentum. This also ensures more comfort and absorbs impact well when running on concrete. They are light and the sole is flexible making me far more agile than clompy trainers I’ve had in the past.

They are reliable in the rain, the sole keeps its grip really well. I’ve also previously had problems running in the heat, however the mesh on top of the toes keeps your feet ventilated and comfortable in the hottest conditions. The soft and responsive sole make these trainers a good choice whether running 5k or training for a marathon. They are durable and stand the test of time; this is my 3rd pair of this range of shoe and I’m in no hurry to change my allegiance. I’ve got well over 1000 mile per pair.

The wide choice of colours is great, making them as fashionable as a pair of trainers could ever hope to be. Even Kate Middleton wears them! Her red pair make a refreshing change from the monotony of white and black trainers on the market. However, I chose the white pair because I know that some expensive gyms request white trainers (something to take note of if you’re going to the gym in Sweden!). At school it was essential to have non-mark soles for P.E. so as not to ruin the sports hall floor.

The 3 stripes synonymous with the brand are metallic on my pair and give the trainers an flashy, innovative look. My boyfriend has the Supernova Glide in orange and even though I couldn’t tell him to buy a different pair (I know how hard it is to come across really reliable trainers), at least I could buy a different colour.
